WP8 has a three-fold objective:
- At the strategic level: to steer the project to address all unexpected situations, be these scientific, technological, environmental or societal and facilitate coordination between WPs and CSs;
- At the operational level: to ensure that the project progresses in conformity with the work plan regarding overall progress, milestones, deliverables, and planned resources;
- At the organisational level: to optimise the infrastructural setup to support the project, with attention paid to financial, logistics, information, coordination issues in terms of quality and conformity to EC rules.
The specific WP 8 approach is following:
To ensure project success, the management will be: i) sufficiently flexible to enable its work programme to remain relevant throughout external events, either scientific, technological or industrial and to reflect on the multi-actor approach undertaken in the project; ii) strong enough to ensure the project progresses in accordance with the work plan and the EC rules, and iii) transparent to enable fair and transparent decision-making processes. The supervision and overall management of NEFERTITI will benefit from the project management expertise of two partner institutions, ACTA and IT, together with the experience of the WP leaders. The overall coordination will be the sole responsibility of ACTA, who will be the legal entity responsible for all contractual arrangements and reporting to the EC, while IT will assist the coordinator with tasks related to operational, technical and financial management of the action.
